Terms of Use
Stand: July 21, 2026
These Terms of Use govern the use of the EXFIELD platform by admitted members. They supplement the General Terms and Conditions and the Club's Code of Conduct.
1Account and Credentials
Each member receives a personal, non-transferable account. Credentials must be treated as strictly confidential. Members are obliged to notify EXFIELD immediately as soon as there is reasonable suspicion that third parties have obtained knowledge of the credentials.
2Truthful Information
All information provided during the application and profile process (name, company, position, references, uploaded documents) must be complete, current and truthful. EXFIELD reserves the right to verify submissions and to terminate the membership without notice in the event of demonstrably false statements.
3Code of Conduct
- Discretion: Content from Circles, Deal Rooms, Introductions and Events is strictly confidential ("Chatham House Rule").
- Respect: No harassment, no discrimination, no bullying of other members.
- No spam, no cold outreach without prior mutual consent.
- No forwarding of other members' contact details to third parties without their consent.
- No unlawful, misleading or defamatory content.
4User-Generated Content
Members retain all rights to their content (posts, comments, postings, event descriptions, images). They grant EXFIELD a non-exclusive, worldwide right, limited to the duration of membership, to display, store and technically process such content within the platform.
Members warrant that their content does not infringe any third-party rights — in particular no copyright, trademark, personality or data protection rights.
5Prohibited Actions
- Automated harvesting of the platform (scraping, crawling) outside of official interfaces.
- Reverse engineering, circumvention of technical protection measures, attacks on the infrastructure.
- Creation of fake accounts or use of the account by persons who have not been admitted.
- Commercial exploitation of member data, in particular for marketing or recruiting purposes.
6Steel Card and NFC Function
The Steel Card serves exclusively for member identification and for the exchange of contact details between members via NFC. In case of loss, EXFIELD must be notified immediately so that the NFC chip can be deactivated. A replacement card can be ordered at an additional cost.
7Availability
EXFIELD endeavours to operate the platform with high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted accessibility. Maintenance windows are announced whenever possible.
8Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with the separate Privacy Policy. This policy informs in particular about data categories, purposes, legal bases and the rights of the data subjects. The Privacy Policy is available at [/privacy].
9Suspension and Termination
EXFIELD may temporarily suspend or permanently close accounts in the event of violations of these Terms of Use or the Code of Conduct. In the event of serious violations, membership may be terminated without notice, and fees already paid will not be refunded.
10Changes
EXFIELD may adjust these Terms of Use for objective reasons (e.g. new features, legal changes). Members will be notified by email at least 30 days before such changes take effect. If the member does not object in text form within this period, the changes are deemed to be accepted.
